My name is Ricky
I was born with a brittle bone condition called osteogenesis imperfecta (OI). Although this genetic disorder makes my bones fragile and easily broken, my life is a story of hope and triumph in God. Ricky Speaks Life exists to share this story and offer that same hope to you.
as he broke bones more frequently. Childhood was difficult when learning to navigate life cautiously. His parents fought hard to get Ricky into regular, mainstream schooling, as the system wanted to place him in a special needs class setting. As Ricky advanced into adolescence, he began to question life and dealt with depression. About the age of 19, he gave his life to the Lord.
Since then, he’s learned to rely on God to have victory and contentment in the midst of his struggles, and is given strength to endure. God, family, friends, and everyone he encounters along life’s journey gives him a drive to continue forward.
